Ars bohemia
Over on Scallywag and Vagabond , Marushka Mujic rhapsodizes reverently about the August 27 Art Salon at Gilles Larrain's studio in Soho. Larrain is best-known for photographing Miles Davis playing in his studio for several of his album covers, as well as John and Yoko's Bed-In, and his partner Louda is a painter and fashion designer whose work was displayed at the Met in June. Now attendees to his salon cavort with brooding artists and shirtless male models Louda apparently snatched off the street, to adorn a sort of modern-day Moulin Rouge, where the rich and powerful cavort with the young and beautiful creatures of the night. Oh and the model in these photos is me.
More photos can be viewed via the link to Scallywag above (including of the work-in-progress from Louda, David Kassan and Sarah Bieda, which is now hanging on my living room wall).
Special thanks to Richard Mark for some of the photos.
